All data you create in WattPath — including ride history, training metrics, power profiles, and settings — is stored locally on your device by default.
If you choose to enable cloud sync, your workout data and profile settings are also stored in your personal cloud account (Google Drive on Android, iCloud on iOS). This data is only accessible to you and to WattPath — it is not visible to other apps or users.
WattPath offers an optional Google Sign-In feature on Android. If you choose to sign in with Google:
drive.appdata scope). This is a private, app-specific folder in your Google Drive that is not visible in your normal Drive files. We do not access any other files in your Google Drive, and we do not share your Google account information with third parties.
On iOS, WattPath can optionally sync your data using iCloud. iCloud sync uses your device's existing Apple ID — no additional sign-in is required. Your workout data is stored in a private iCloud container accessible only to WattPath. You can disable iCloud sync at any time from the Settings screen.
During a workout, WattPath receives real-time data from your smart trainer and connected sensors via Bluetooth, including power output, cadence, speed, and heart rate. This data is processed on your device and saved as part of your workout history. It is not transmitted to any external server unless you have enabled cloud sync.
Advertising data: The App uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner advertisements. The App requests non-personalized ads only. Google's ad SDK may collect device identifiers and limited usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Network state: The App checks your network connectivity status (Wi-Fi vs. cellular) to determine when to perform cloud sync. This information is not stored or transmitted.
WattPath uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to connect to smart trainers, power meters, cadence sensors, and heart rate monitors. These connections are used solely to receive workout data in real time and to control trainer resistance. No Bluetooth data is stored beyond the workout metrics recorded during your ride.
WattPath displays banner ads powered by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). The App is configured to request non-personalized ads only. Google may still collect device identifiers and limited data to serve and measure ads. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
